Civic Center Theater, Syracuse

The Civic Center Theater is home to the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra and the Syracuse Opera. The Syracuse Opera is the only opera in upstate New York that operates year-round. It produces three main operas per season and frequently collaborates with the Syracuse Opera Chorus and the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra. The Syracuse Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1961 and quickly became a fully professional, resident orchestra. Today it employs 80 musicians and performs concerts in central and northern New York. The box office for both the Syracuse Opera and the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra are located at 411 Montgomery Street at the Mulroy Civic Center. The office is open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.
