The Connecticut Convention Center, located in downtown Hartford’s vibrant Front Street District, is the state’s premier venue for conventions, trade shows, and special events. Overlooking the Connecticut River, the Center offers a striking mix of functionality and architectural flair. It features a dramatic 110-foot glass atrium that rises ten stories above a public plaza and scenic riverfront esplanade.

Opened in 2005 and owned by the State of Connecticut, the facility is operated by Waterford Venue Services under the oversight of the Capital Region Development Authority. Designed by Thompson, Ventulett, Stainback & Associates, the Center encompasses a total of 540,000 square feet, including 140,000 square feet of exhibition space, a 40,000-square-foot ballroom, and 25,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. These dimensions make it the largest convention facility between New York and Boston.

In addition to its scale, the Center is known for its professional event services, award-winning planning team, and high-quality in-house catering. It’s a fully equipped venue with state-of-the-art audiovisual systems, abundant pre-function areas, and ample on-site covered parking - all designed to create a seamless and memorable experience for both organizers and attendees.

The Connecticut Convention Center has hosted a variety of high-profile events, including ConnectiCon, which has called the venue home since 2005. With its scenic location, adaptable spaces, and expert support staff, the Center continues to serve as a cornerstone of Hartford’s cultural and commercial life.
