Fontanna Multimedialna (Multimedia Fountain), Wroclaw
The Multimedia Fountain is located near the Centennial Hall, surrounded by a pergola. It’s the largest fountain in Poland and among the biggest in Europe. Built during the renovation of the pergola in 2009, the fountain features 182 dynamic nozzles, 88 that create foam, and three fire nozzles.
To light up the water, 328 lamps were placed underwater. At the center, there’s a geyser that shoots water up to 40 meters high, just 2 meters shorter than the Centennial Hall. The construction of the fountain cost 10 million złoty, and it was officially opened on June 9, 2009, to mark the 20th anniversary of the June elections.
Shows run from April to October, both during the day and in the evening. The season closes in late October with performances set to classical and rock music.
