Wroclaw Zoo is the largest and oldest zoo in Poland. It covers an area of 33 hectares and is home to about 10,500 animals from 1,150 different species, ranging from large mammals like elephants to small insects. One of its main attractions is the Africarium, which opened in 2014.

The Africarium is the first and only oceanarium in the world dedicated solely to the fauna and flora of Africa. It features 21 pools and aquariums with 15 million liters of water, showcasing over 350 species of African animals, including hippos, sharks, penguins, and manatees. The Africarium has become a key tourist attraction in Poland, drawing an average of 2,500 visitors daily. The zoo and Africarium together offer a comprehensive look at both global and African wildlife, making it a must-visit destination for animal enthusiasts.
