Gerrard Street Baptist Church is affiliated with the Baptist Union of Scotland. The building of the present church opened in 1900 but the church existed prior in another building. The current building is formed from a church hall and a listed building. There are 6 elders that serve the church. The church has a ministry for students that is split up into a number of small groups which meet every week for prayer and Bible study. The Sunday evening services at Gerrard Street are very much based around teaching from Bible which is applicable to the lives of students. Services are held on Sundays at 10:30am and 6:30pm; communion is shared on the first Sunday of every month at the 10:30am service and on the third Sunday of each month at the 6:30pm service.
