Hauptschule Building, Bregenz

The Hauptschule Building, located on Belruptstrasse, was designed by noted Austrian architect Willibald Braun in 1914, who is also the designer of Altes Landhaus (1921), Strickwaren-Fabrik (1923) and Talstation Pfänder (1926). This elegant well-maintained three-story building is an example of Rural architecture, consisting of a main building and a wing on the right, and is particularly notable for its original windows, a bay window with carvings by Josef Gaudl and its ornate façade. The cavities above the window lintels on the side building are adorned with original artwork by Bartle Kleber.
