The museum proudly showcases six comprehensive permanent exhibitions spread across more than 10 galleries. These exhibitions cover a broad spectrum of topics, including Chinese culture, traditional rural life, and more. Noteworthy among the permanent galleries are the New Territories Heritage Hall, the Children's Discovery Gallery, the Cantonese Opera Heritage Hall, and the T.T. Tsui Gallery of Chinese Art, which exhibits artifacts from the former Tsui Museum of Art.
