International Culture Centre Art Gallery (ICC Gallery), Krakow

The International Cultural Centre (ICC) stands as Poland's inaugural state cultural institution following the end of the Iron Curtain era. Its primary purpose is to foster cultural integration within Europe and undertake endeavors that advance the safeguarding of cultural heritage. Through a diverse range of scientific and educational projects, as well as curated publications and exhibitions, the ICC delves into a broad spectrum of topics. These span from the core essence of European civilization and the complexities of national stereotypes and identities amid globalization, to matters of collective memory, the multicultural tapestry of Central and Eastern Europe, Poland's positioning in the broader European context, the preservation of cultural heritage alongside new protective philosophies, and the intricacies of historical urban landscapes. Through its ICC Gallery, the institution orchestrates temporary exhibitions, often centered around unique phenomena in art and architecture from the previous century.

The Ravens House, known locally as "Pod Kruki," serves as the host for the International Cultural Centre. This historic abode is perched on the Main Market Square (Rynek Główny), a site that has borne witness to countless pivotal events throughout Krakow's history. The windows of the ICC provide a view onto the Main Market Square, offering glimpses of the Cloth Hall - an exemplar of Renaissance architecture - and the Gothic-styled Town Hall Tower. From this vantage point, notable events like the Prussian Homage (1525), the Kosciuszko Insurrection (1794), Józef Piłsudski's funeral procession (1935), royal enthronements, vibrant carnivals, stately parades, grassroots assemblies, official ceremonies, and even instances of turmoil such as riots, demonstrations, and revolutions, have all unfolded before the eyes of history.
