The story of Limoncello di Capri begins in the late 1800s when Vincenza Canale, a forward-thinking innkeeper at the Mariantonia guesthouse, began offering her homemade limoncello to guests. Her captivating concoction quickly won favor among notable visitors like physician Ignazio Cerio, doctor and writer Axel Munthe, and archaeologist Amedeo Maiuri.
