Porta Portese, one of the largest flea markets in Italy, said to have grown out of the thriving black market of World War II, attracts a multitude of visitors every Sunday. This bustling marketplace is a haven for treasure seekers and bargain hunters, as they eagerly explore the array of tents showcasing new and used clothing, antique furniture, second-hand books, accessories, and various miscellaneous items.

It's advisable to sharpen your haggling skills and bring cash, preferably in small bills, as it can work to your advantage when negotiating prices. Additionally, it's important to keep a firm grip on your wallet or purse to ensure its safety. If you intend to make purchases, it's recommended to arrive early, as most of the best deals are usually claimed by 10am, and the crowd can become quite intense thereafter.
