Metzitzim Beach, Tel Aviv

Metzitzim Beach, Tel Aviv

In Tel Aviv, each portion of the shore is named after a nearby hotel or cafe. The Metzitzim beach is named so after a legendary 1972 Israeli movie, called "Peeping Toms", starring famous local actors, Arik Einstein and Uri Zohar.

The shallow waters and constant presence of lifeguards, helping to put the minds of young parents at ease, make Metzitzim an ideal family beach. Extensively renovated, it boasts new showers, children’s playground, sporting facilities, chairs and sunbeds. There is a bar/ restaurant, showers, shaded areas, onsite parking lot, plus an easy access by public transportation.

During peak hours, though, you may struggle to find a place here to park you towel, thanks to the abundance of families wanting to get away from the bustle of the central beaches. Still, you can often feast your eyes on the celebrities coming here regularly. This is also a good place to come down at night because of its seclusion from the main promenade.

The Metzitzim Beach restaurant is open daily from 7am until the last customer leaves, and offers a sophisticated menu full of surprises.
