Modern Gallery, Budva

The Modern Gallery of Budva is a museum dedicated to modern and contemporary art, established in 1972. From its very first exhibition, each artist who showcased their work donated at least one piece to the gallery. As a result, the gallery's entire collection has been built almost entirely through donations, with art purchases being a rare occurrence.

Today, the Modern Gallery boasts around four hundred artworks, organized into five distinct collections: the Collection of Contemporary Expressionists, the International Fine Art Collection, the National Art Collection, the Collection of Local Artists, and the Naïve Art Collection. The gallery features works by many esteemed Yugoslav artists, including Nikola Graovac, Milan Konjović, Ljuba Popović, and Olja Ivanjicki.
