Monumento a Alexis Arguello is a wonderful piece of art which weighs an impressive 4 tons. It is a sculpture of 19 people grouped together. The Alexis image is on the top of monument that is 10 meters high and 5 meters wide. All the people under him are all people that he loved and to whom he dedicated his fame. This monument was built by the request of President Daniel Ortega by the Nicaraguan Institute of Culture. Alexis is a famous triple world champion in boxing.
