Palazzo Cerruti - Bisazza (Cerruti- Bisazza Palace), Messina

The Cerruti-Bisazza Palace is a remarkable example of Eclectic and Art Nouveau architecture in the heart of Messina. Designed by renowned architect Gino Coppedè, the palace stands at the intersection of Lepanto Street, Cesare Battisti Street and September 1 Street, making it a distinctive landmark within the city’s historic center.

Built in the early 20th century, the palace combines eclectic influences with elements of Art Nouveau, characteristic of Coppedè’s distinctive architectural style. Its elaborate ornamentation and decorative flourishes reflect the architectural richness of Messina during the period of reconstruction and renewal that followed the devastating 1908 earthquake.

One of the most striking features of the Cerruti-Bisazza Palace is its decorative ironwork, including railings adorned with the Star of David. These details are attributed to Luigi Coppedè, a Florentine artist who collaborated on the building’s elaborate decoration.
