Saratoga Automobile Museum, Saratoga Springs

The Saratoga Automobile Museum, located in the scenic 2,379-acre Saratoga Spa State Park in Saratoga Springs, is dedicated to celebrating the automobile's historical, cultural, and technological impact. Housed in the fully restored New York State Bottling Plant, a neoclassical structure completed in 1935, the museum provides a unique backdrop for exploring automotive heritage.

Officially opened in June 2002, the museum features a dynamic range of exhibits. The museum’s displays, spanning two floors and three galleries, showcase approximately thirty vehicles, with a mix of rotating and permanent exhibits.

The ground floor hosts rotating featured exhibits in two distinct galleries. Gallery A is an expansive space with soaring 30-foot ceilings, original tile walls, and three striking floor-to-ceiling Palladian windows. This gallery is not only a hub for automotive displays but also serves as a venue for public and private events, including weddings. Additionally, a small theater room offers screenings and presentations, while an art gallery highlights works from local and international artists and photographers.

The second floor houses the museum’s permanent exhibits: Racing in New York and East of Detroit, both offering deep dives into the state’s and region’s rich automotive and motorsports history. Visitors can also explore the New York State Stock Car Association Hall of Fame, paying tribute to key figures in racing.

Beyond exhibits, the museum hosts events like automotive symposiums and collector car showcases, fostering a passion for automotive history and innovation. Ideal for car enthusiasts, history buffs, or curious visitors, the Saratoga Automobile Museum offers a rich journey through automotive past, present, and future.
