Tatar State Puppet Theater Ekiyat, Kazan (must see)

The Tatar State Puppet Theater Ekiyat, founded in 1935, is one of Kazan’s oldest theaters. Originally called the First State International Puppet Theater, it is housed in the building of a former merchant assembly. From 1927 to 1930 the building was used as the Tatar Culture Center. Its repertoire includes plays in Russian and Tatar, featuring performances with historical and contemporary themes.
