The Church of St. Nicholas, Yekaterinburg

The Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker is a small Russian Orthodox church located within the Patriarchal Compound, a religious and educational complex created in the early 21st century. The church was built as part of a memorial project linked to the final years of Emperor Nicholas II and his family. It is dedicated to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, who was the emperor’s patron saint. From the beginning, the church was planned for everyday worship rather than large public ceremonies.

The building is modest in size and follows traditional Orthodox church design. Its simple shape and compact layout set it apart from the larger memorial buildings nearby.
