The Statue of the Virgin Mary, Cluj-Napoca

The Statue of the Virgin Mary, also called the Statue of Pest, is one of the Marian Columns created for worship of the Virgin Mary as thanks for halting an epidemic. The statue was disassembled in 1959 during the communist period in Romania. Its last renovation was during 1957-1958. Now the citizens want to move the statue back to its initial location in front of the Piarists’ Church.
