Tomb of People's Heroes, Belgrade

The Tomb of People's Heroes is a tomb that holds the remains of four decorated military leaders and revolutionaries. Each of these individuals received the Order of the People's Hero of SFR Yugoslavia. It is located under the walls of the Belgrade Fortress.

The tomb holds the remains of Ivo Lola Ribar, Ivan Milutinovic, Duro Dakovic and Mosa Pijade. Busts of each of the heroes are on display at the tomb.

The tomb was built in 1948. It was declared a Monument of Culture by the City Assembly of Belgrade in 1983. It is located near the Military Museum. There are benches on each side of the busts.

The tomb is available 24-hour, seven days per week. It is illuminated after dark.
