Variety Playhouse, Atlanta
Originally built in 1940, the building currently occupied by Variety Playhouse was first used as a movie theater until it was repurposed in 1989 to become a premier concert venue. The VP has since established itself as one of Atlanta's most iconic and historic live music venues, hosting a variety of artists and performers from a wide range of genres: rock, country, folk, bluegrass, jazz, blues, world music, etc. The venue has a capacity of around 1,000 people, providing an intimate and unique concert experience for music fans.
Variety Playhouse is known for its art-deco architecture, which has been beautifully preserved over the years.
