Vespas Club, Funchal

Vespas Club, Funchal

Situated on Sá Carneiro Avenue (Avenida Sá Carneiro), the Vespas Club is renowned for its unique and lively ambiance, making it a must-visit spot for those seeking an energetic night out in Funchal.

With several decades of existence, the Vespas Club is an undeniable reference in the history of Madeira's nightlife. When it opened its doors in 1980, it infused more liveliness into the Pearl of the Atlantic, offering a type of entertainment that was scarce until then.

For a while, the Vespas Club was the only nightclub on the island. However, it kept up with international sounds, adapting to the changing times and the emergence of new musical hits. In the 1990s, the Vespas Club expanded its business and created two other iconic venues: Jam and Marginal. The former was dedicated to commercial music from the '70s, '80s, and '90s, while the latter became a Mecca for alternative music in Madeira.
