Vintage Pink, Portland

Vintage Pink is a large vintage marketplace recognised by its bright pink exterior and colourful circular details. Opened in 2008, the shop brings together several independent dealers within more than 6,000 square feet of display space. The interior is arranged as a series of individual sections, each reflecting the taste and speciality of a different seller.

The collection focuses mainly on mid-century modern furniture and household design. Visitors may find teak cabinets, lounge chairs, dining sets, ceramic lamps, framed prints and decorative glassware from the 1950s through the 1970s. Retro kitchen objects, industrial pieces, reclaimed materials and unusual decorative items add variety. Furniture is often displayed in room-like arrangements, making it easier to see how objects from different periods can work together.

This is primarily a destination for home furnishings rather than a conventional clothing boutique, although small accessories and occasional garments may appear among the displays. The changing dealer inventory makes each visit different, with items ranging from practical storage and lighting to playful ornaments and one-of-a-kind objects. Larger purchases can require additional planning, while smaller ceramics, artwork and tableware are easier souvenirs for travellers to carry.
