Voortrekker Monument, Pretoria (must see)

The massive granite Voortrekker Monument was built to commemorate the Great Trek's heroes of the 18th century. The main body of the construction is presented by the four walls of the Hall of Heroes which is decorated in the Italian style. One of the most attractive features for tourists here is the 260-step stairway. It leads to the dome and offers the view of the whole city.
