Yazoo Brewing Company, Nashville

Yazoo Brewing Company, Nashville

Yazoo Brewing Company, a brewery based in Nashville, was established in 2003 by Linus Hall, who serves as the Brewmaster. Initially situated within the former Marathon Motor Works factory building in downtown Nashville, the brewery relocated to The Gulch in March 2010. The new brewery boasts an expanded taproom featuring 18 taps and an outdoor patio for seating.

Both Linus Hall and his wife, Lila, hail from Mississippi and moved to Nashville in 1996. Linus had been a homebrew enthusiast since his college days. After years of refining his distinctive ale styles, experimenting with them among family and friends, he made the decision to establish his own brewery. Linus acquired his MBA from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, earned a craft brewing certification from the American Brewers Guild in California, and completed an internship at the Brooklyn Brewery in Brooklyn, New York, in 2001, working under the guidance of brewmaster Garrett Oliver. Despite leaving a successful engineering career and expecting a new addition to the family, Linus secured a suitable location, scoured the nation for brewing equipment, and nearly single-handedly constructed the brewery.

Since its inception in 2003, Yazoo's brews have gained popularity among the local Nashville community and garnered a dedicated following among craft beer enthusiasts worldwide.
