Sometimes the best travel moments aren’t planned. That’s exactly how we ended up in Cascais, on a whim, with just half a day to explore. And somehow, it turned into one of our favorite experiences near Lisbon.

A quick train ride from Cais do Sodré Station gets you there in about 40 minutes, and it’s one of the most scenic routes along the coast.

Even better? The station in Cascais is just a 3-minute walk to the beach, restaurants, and the main square.
