Arctic Circle: Santa Claus Village, Rovaniemi, Finland

Open every day of the year, getting to this Christmas wonderland village from Finland’s Rovaniemi using public transport is super easy.

The grey, drizzling, and chilly day doesn’t deter the spirits from a trip to the village. As tomorrow is Ascension Day and a public holiday in Finland, it’s best to take public transport today.

Although Santa Claus Village is touristy, it’s a fun place to visit, especially if you’re a child at heart like me.

Post your letter or package from Santa’s Post Office to anywhere in the world to be delivered at Christmas time or in a few weeks.

Today, meeting Santa, his Elves, and exploring the village is only on offer. Many activities at the village are closed. Even Mrs Claus’ house is closed.
