Scavenger Hunt in Budapest; Kolodko Mini Statues (1/4), Budapest, Hungary
When researching things to do in Budapest, we came across information on miniature statues that were scattered around the city. These miniature statues are the work of artist Mihaly Kolodko, originally born in the Ukraine, Kolodko has placed mini statues in a wide variety of locations including Ukraine, Hungary, Germany and even South Korea. The artist has done large scale sculptures as well, but has gained a lot of popularity for his mini statues.
When looking for lists of statues for us to try and find during our stay in Budapest, I had to use a variety of sources in order to compile what I believed to be a full list, I consulted several blogs as well as searches on google maps, and even with all the research, we came across several statues that I had not previously identified. To help those that follow, I believe I have put together the most comprehensive list of mini statues (over 40) at this time.
Due to the large number of statues this list will be broken into several posts, with this being the first post and each following post will contain a links to this first post. Statues are listed in no particular order and at the end I will include a list of statues that I know about, but we did not visit. So lets get started shall we. ......
