Scavenger Hunt in Budapest; Kolodko Mini Statues (3/4), Budapest, Hungary

Welcome back, once again, to my blog series on the variety of mini-statues by artist Mihaly Kolodko, scattered around the city of Budapest. This piece has Paddington Bear perched atop Masha’s bear from the popular Russian animated series “Masha and the Bear,” and is interestingly found on Medve utca (Bear Street). Possibly another political piece as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky voiced Paddington in the Ukrainian dubs of both “Paddington” and “Paddington 2”, with the bear from the story “Masha and the Bear” likely symbolizing Russia.
