Asan Bazar, Kathmandu

Asan Bazar, also known simply as Asan, is a traditional market and residential square in the historic center of Kathmandu. Located where six busy streets converge, it has been a commercial mainstay since ancient times, drawing shoppers from across the city and offering visitors a lively place for people-watching, photography, and mingling with locals.

The market reflects Kathmandu’s long history as one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities.
