Auditorio Alfredo Kraus (Alfredo Kraus Auditorium), Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Perched elegantly at the edge of Las Canteras beach stands the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium. This architectural marvel seamlessly blends beauty with functionality across its expansive 16,750 square meters, offering a versatile space adorned with 25 rooms capable of accommodating up to 4,600 individuals. Beyond its practicality, the auditorium boasts ample interior areas designed for relaxation and leisure, seamlessly extending to the outdoors, where visitors can indulge in panoramic views of the picturesque Las Canteras promenade.

Crafted by the visionary mind of Catalan architect Óscar Tusquets, in collaboration with Carlos Díaz and under the project management of Agustín Juárez and Marcos Roger, the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium embodies a dual identity as both a protective fortress and a guiding lighthouse. Tusquets' vision was to create a structure that not only served its functional purpose but also harmonized with the coastal landscape, enhancing the natural beauty of its surroundings.

Enhancing the architectural narrative is the sculptural intervention by Gran Canaria artist and architect Juan Bordes, which intricately weaves elements of marine fauna from Las Canteras beach into the building's design.
