The Bank of Napa is a historically significant structure that has been a landmark in the city since its construction in 1923. Recognized for its architectural and historical value, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992. Originally designed in the Classical Revival style, the structure reflects the early 20th-century trend of grand, dignified commercial buildings that conveyed stability and trust-important qualities for a financial institution during that era.

Spanning an entire block, the two-story Bank of Napa building seamlessly blends two distinct architectural styles. The original 1923 section features Classical Revival elements, including symmetrical design and decorative details that emphasize grandeur and permanence.

In 1934, a large Art Deco annex was added, incorporating modernist elements that contrast yet complement the original design. The stuccoed exterior and streamlined geometric details of the annex reflect the stylistic shift of the 1930s, demonstrating the evolving architectural landscape of Napa’s commercial district.
