Center at High Falls, Rochester

The Center at High Falls, formerly The Rochester Water Works, was established in 1873, having as its purpose to provide a high pressure water system for Rochester. The building is designed in High Victorian Gothic style, with an interesting cast-iron cornice. Nowadays, this site houses the High Falls Museum, which provides an overview of the area's history, culture and commerce, and has an Art Gallery and a gift shop. The center can be visited Wednesday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm, Saturdays from 12 to 6 pm Sundays from 1 pm to 5 pm.
