Centro Cultural de Acapulco (Acapulco Cultural Center), Acapulco

Acapulco Cultural Center offers a calm, creative refuge, serving not only as a culture house, but also as a community center where art, tradition, and everyday life intersect. Beyond the galleries and exhibition halls, visitors will also find lush garden spaces and a lively plaza where local artisans sometimes display their work.

The history of the center is itself an emblem of civic generosity and cultural aspiration. In 1975, the land was donated to Acapulco by philanthropist Wolfgang Schoenborn Stuertz, formally opening its doors in 1976. The facility includes multiple spaces such as an amphitheater, a multi-purpose room, and garden areas, which together allow flexibility in hosting events of different scales.

The center hosts rotating art exhibitions — painting, sculpture, photography — alongside cultural performances, workshops, and community events. On many evenings during special seasons, you may catch concerts, folkloric dance performances, or evenings of choral and instrumental music.
