Crkva Sv. Petar (St. Peter's Church), Trogir

Saint Peter's Church was originally part of a Benedictine convent, built next to the medieval chapel of Saint Plato. Today, only the courtyard with its Baroque well head remains of the cloister. The waist-length sculpture of Saint Peter, set above the Baroque portal, was likely carved by Niccolo di Giovanni in the late 1480s.

Inside the church, works by Zanchi, Molinari, and Lazzarini are particularly noteworthy. In the late 17th century, the sculptor Jakov Jucen was active in Trogir, creating a series of finely detailed polychromed wood compositions. He is also believed to have contributed to the panelled ceiling and the organ's housing. Over the high altar, wooden statues of Saints Peter and Paul are prominently displayed.
