Eldon House, London

Eldon House, London (must see)

Built in 1834 and owned by Captain John and Amelia Harris until 1960, Eldon House is an important historic spot in the city. In 1961 the house was open to the public as a museum. This attractive construction is a fine example of Georgian and Regency architectural styles. Visitors can embark on a journey to the house-museum’s past through its fascinating collection of family portraits, letters, papers, records and original furniture items and home decorations. The house also features a 19th century style garden, which is considered one of the most charming in the city.
