Instituto de la Artesania Jalisciense, Guadalajara

Opened in 1964, Instituto de la Artesania Jalisciense is a cultural venue dedicated to local traditions and handicraft. It is situated on Calzada González Gallo and was founded to promote, display, and preserve Mexico’s handicraft traditions. Here you will see a great number of silver objects, pottery, ceramics, blown glass, carvings, leather work, and textiles created by local artisans from the municipalities of Jalisco. The Institute is open Monday - Friday from 10:00 to 18:00, Saturdays from 10:00 to 17:00 and Sundays from 10:00 to 15:00.
