Kazan Zoo & Botanical Gardens, Kazan

Kazan Zoo & Botanical Gardens, one of the oldest European institutions of its kind, is nearing its 200th anniversary. Its botanical collection consists of around 500 species, 20 of which are endangered, and its zoological collection includes 145 species, of which 27 of them are also threatened with extinction.
