Back in 1968, Kingston Mines etched its name into Chicago's history books as the very first blues club to open on the North Side. While it has since relocated to larger premises, now reigning as the biggest blues venue in the city, it continues to deliver the same timeless blues tunes and late-night revelry that made the original club legendary. Esteemed artists like Koko Taylor, Magic Slim, and Carl Weathersby have graced its stages, and renowned musicians like Ronnie Hicks and Mike Wheeler continue to make regular appearances.

The venue draws hordes of blues enthusiasts and fun-loving singles who soak in the music on its two stages, with performances that keep the party going from 8pm until nearly 4am (and until 5am on Saturdays). The lineup spans from talented local house bands to nationally touring headliners. It's always bustling, but the expansive space offers ample tables for dancing or lounging by the bar.
