LP Field, Nashville

LP Field, Nashville

LP Field is a football stadium that belongs to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County. This stadium serves as the home field for the NFL's Tennessee Titans and the Tennessee State University Tigers. Additionally, it hosts the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl, a college football game held each December, and occasionally serves as a venue for soccer matches. LP Field is also a popular location for big concerts, including the CMA Music Festival nightly concerts, which occur over four days every June.

Situated on the east bank of the Cumberland River, LP Field is located directly across from downtown Nashville. It has a seating capacity of 68,798. The stadium's inaugural event took place on August 27, 1999, featuring a preseason game between the Titans and the Atlanta Falcons. The playing surface at LP Field is Tifsport Bermuda Sod, a type of natural grass. However, due to Nashville's relatively warm climate and the wear and tear from frequent games, the area "between the hashes" typically undergoes resodding in late November.
