Military Women's Memorial, Arlington

Military Women's Memorial, Arlington

Situated at the entrance of Arlington National Cemetery, the Military Women's Memorial pays tribute to all women who have served with courage, dedication, and selflessness. As the only major national memorial of its kind, it honors the contributions of women in the military throughout history. Visitors are greeted by stunning views and the impressive Court of Valor, featuring a reflecting pool and fountain. On Memorial Day and Veterans Day, the Court of Valor hosts formal military ceremonies, where a woman from each branch shares her story and honors past servicewomen.

This unique memorial is the only one in the United States and the world that highlights the service of women in the military, preserving their stories from the Revolutionary War to the present day. It includes 16 exhibit alcoves for both permanent and rotating displays, as well as an interactive computerized register of female service members.
