Mont Boron, Nice

Mont Boron, Nice

Mont Boron is a picturesque hill in Nice that separates the city from Villefranche-sur-Mer. The hill rises to almost 200 meters above sea level, offering a stunning panoramic view of Nice, the Old Port, and the village of Villefranche-sur-Mer. It's a popular spot for family picnics and for tourists to take in the views.

One of the highlights of Mont Boron is the beautiful villas that dot the hillside. Elton John is one of the famous residents who own a villa here. However, the main attraction at the top of the hill is Mont Boron Park, a lush, densely wooded park that offers a great respite from the hustle and bustle of the city.

At the top of the hill, visitors can also explore the Fort du Mont Alban, a monumental fort that has stood there for centuries. Although the building is closed to the public, visitors can admire its impressive exterior and enjoy the breathtaking views from the hilltop.

There are also several paths from Mont Boron that lead to the village of Villefranche-sur-Mer. Here, visitors can explore the Citadelle Saint-Elme, a well-preserved citadel that dates back to the 16th century. From the village, visitors can take the bus or train back to Nice.
