Monument to Cervantes, Mar del Plata

Placed in the beautiful Plaza Espana and surrounded by an impressive green area, the monument is made of bronze statues of Don Quijote on a horse and Sancho Panza on a donkey. Erected in February 1975, the statues were sculpted to celebrate the town's centenary. Designed by architect F. Hidelberg, the beautiful architectural figures were donated by the owners of the famous shopping mall Los Gallegos.
