Nara Roesler, Sao Paulo

Nara Roesler, Sao Paulo

Nara Roesler stands as a prominent contemporary art gallery in Brazil, showcasing influential Brazilian and international artists who rose to prominence during the 1950s. It also represents accomplished artists in the middle of their careers and emerging talents who engage in meaningful conversations with the artistic legacies established by those historical figures. The gallery was established by Nara Roesler in 1989, and since then, it has consistently nurtured curatorial practices while prioritizing the highest standards of art production.

This commitment is actively demonstrated through a carefully curated exhibition program, developed in close collaboration with the artists. Additionally, the gallery has introduced the Roesler Curatorial Project, a platform dedicated to supporting curatorial initiatives. Moreover, Nara Roesler extends its assistance to artists beyond the confines of the gallery space, collaborating with institutions and curators to organize offsite shows.

To further enhance its artistic offerings, the gallery expanded its exhibition space in São Paulo in 2012, followed by an expansion to Rio in 2014. In 2015, it extended its reach to New York City, solidifying its mission to provide the finest platform for artists to showcase their work.
