The National Arboretum Canberra is a sprawling botanical garden renowned for its diverse collection of trees and stunning landscapes. Established in 2005 following devastating bushfires, the arboretum serves as both a living museum of trees and a hub for environmental education, conservation, and research. Anchored by the acclaimed Margaret Whitlam Pavilion and the bustling Village Centre, this 250-hectare sanctuary boasts over 44,000 rare and endangered trees.

The Arboretum is now home to the prestigious National Bonsai and Penjing Collection of Australia, relocating from its former abode in Commonwealth Park. Housing 120 exhibits, featuring approximately 75 trees on rotation, the Collection showcases a blend of traditional and contemporary styles, spotlighting native Australian species such as Banksia serrata and Eucalyptus camaldulensis.
