National Struggle Museum, Nicosia

The National Struggle Museum, one of Nicosia’s most popular museums, is devoted to the struggle with the British since 1878. One hall is dedicated to the events related to the struggle between 1878 and 1955. Another room reflects the period from 1955 to 1974 when the EOKA terrorist organization was founded, one of the bloodiest phases of the struggle. The third room reflects the progress of strategies and weapons from 1974 and the final hall is devoted to the end of the struggle. Its diverse collection includes weapons, documents, photographs and other objects from this dark period. It is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm.
