Constructed in 1938, the three-storey OCBC Building on Beach Street serves as a prominent representation of the Art Deco architectural style that was popular during its time. Owned by the Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC), the largest bank in Singapore, its distinctive appearance is characterized by a dull grey finish, owed to the application of 'Shanghai plaster'.
Notably, the upper floors feature vertical columns of plaster, with a ring motif encircling the middle section. This same ring motif showcases the original OCBC logo, a symbol recognized worldwide.
