Odyssey Theatre, located in Ottawa, holds the distinction of being the city's premier professional open-air theatre and the sole provider of masked physical theatre. Their primary goal is to captivate diverse audiences through powerful theatrical experiences that resonate deeply, stimulate creativity, and provoke contemplation about our world. For over 36 years, they have consistently delighted viewers with their award-winning productions.

Since its establishment in 1986 by Laurie Steven, the founder and Artistic Director, Odyssey Theatre has been driven by her artistic vision, which is complemented by a dedicated staff and an involved board of directors.

Operating on the traditional, unceded Territory of the Algonquin and Anishnaabe peoples, Odyssey Theatre acknowledges the historical significance of the land they perform on. Currently, Odyssey Theatre is engaged in exploring how to be respectful guests on unceded Algonquin Territory and how best to acknowledge and honor the land and its heritage.
