Old Rock House, Saint Louis

Old Rock House is a live music venue and event space in downtown St. Louis that combines historic architecture with a contemporary concert experience. Opened in 2007, the venue resides in a beautifully renovated historic brick building from the early 20th century and borrows its name and legacy from the original Old Rock House-a prominent 1818 limestone riverfront warehouse built by fur trader Manuel Lisa that once served travelers, merchants, and steamboat passengers during the city's early years.

Although the original landmark was dismantled in 1959 to make way for the Gateway Arch, the modern venue preserves its spirit through its historic design and lively atmosphere. The venue features exposed brick walls, heavy timber beams, stone accents, and high ceilings across a 7,000-square-foot facility, delivering the character of a historic industrial hall while incorporating modern sound, lighting, and video technology. The performance space is laid out across two main levels, offering a flexible setup for general admission standing-room shows on the main floor and balcony seating overlooking the stage. The venue hosts concerts throughout the year featuring local, national, and international artists across genres including rock, blues, folk, country, Americana, indie, hip-hop, and electronic music.

Beyond its concert schedule, Old Rock House regularly hosts weddings, corporate events, and special performances, featuring an 80-foot outdoor patio space. The venue can comfortably accommodate custom private gatherings of up to 300 guests, complemented by a flexible food and beverage menu.
