Parque Urbano Central (Central Urban Park), Santa Cruz de la Sierra

The Central Urban Park serves as a vital green lung for the urban landscape, boasting a diverse array of flora, including 2,300 trees across 113 species and 600 shrubs.

Formerly part of the National State Railway Company's domain, the park now provides a myriad of recreational amenities for the public. Visitors can enjoy playgrounds, sports courts, barbecue areas, bike paths, and an amphitheater accommodating up to 2,000 seated individuals. A standout feature is the enchanting fountain of dancing waters, offering a mesmerizing spectacle synchronized with music and lights at dusk.

Throughout the day, the park buzzes with activity as individuals utilize its trails and outdoor gyms for exercise. Welcoming visitors at its western entrance is the Summit of the Americas Monument, an architectural marvel crafted by renowned Swiss architect Mario Botta, unveiled in 1996. Surrounding the main entrance, rustic motacú huts beckon with regional delights such as coconut water, somó, chicha, mocochinchi, and copoazú, adding a taste of local flavor to the park experience.
