Quint Contemporary Art Gallery, San Diego

Quint Contemporary Art Gallery, established by Mark Quint in 1981, has been a prominent fixture in the art scene of San Diego. During its 42-year operation, the gallery has curated and showcased more than 250 exhibitions, consistently presenting world-class contemporary artwork. Throughout its history, Quint Gallery has called ten different spaces in various San Diego locations home, including Mission Hills, Miramar, Downtown, and La Jolla.

In 2011, the gallery underwent a relocation to its current address on Girard Ave. in La Jolla. Collaborating with renowned international artists Robert Irwin and Roy McMakin, the gallery transformed its 3,000-square-foot interior exhibition space, creating a captivating and immersive environment. Adding to its allure, the gallery's façade boasts a striking sculpture installation by San Diego-based artist Roman de Salvo.

Its exhibition schedule consistently captivates art enthusiasts, keeping Quint Gallery at the forefront of Southern California's contemporary art scene. By attracting artists from around the globe, the gallery acts as a catalyst for cultural exchange in San Diego.

In recent exhibitions, Quint Contemporary Art Gallery has showcased the latest works of influential California Light & Space artists, the evocative and patriotic creations of Icelandic artists, and promising young talents making waves in the national art scene. Notably, the gallery has previously presented exhibitions by esteemed artists such as Mel Bochner, Julian Opie, Roman Opalka, Sol Lewitt, Liza Lou, Robert Irwin, Ryan McGinness, and many other notable names, setting a new standard for contemporary art displayed in San Diego.
